Free June events: Pride Month, Father’s Day, and more

For many, summer break officially begins this month, but that doesn’t mean you need to break the bank to celebrate. Boston has plenty of free ways to learn, engage, and soak in the sun without a hefty price tag. This June, you can get your heart rate up at an outdoor fitness class, ring in Pride across three neighborhoods, and plan a whole day with dad, all without emptying your wallet. Plus, festivals to fill almost every weekend.

CELEBRATE QUEER HISTORY In honor of Pride Month, the West End Museum will hold a special exhibit dedicated to sharing the stories of local queer artists, activists, authors, and more. In conjunction with the new display, the museum will host two free events: an exhibit opening with a live performance and a Pride party at Dorchester Brewing Company. Exhibit opening: June 17, 6-7:30 p.m. The West End Museum, 150 Staniford St., Suite 7.
