Share Your Story
We have a unique opportunity to forever preserve your stories of the Old West End at the Share Your Story Social.
This free event gives you the chance to have your memories documented and kept alive for all time. A team of volunteers will be on hand to record your rare and personal remembrances so that the true story of “the greatest neighborhood this side of heaven” will never be forgotten. In addition to your precious recollections, we encourage you to bring photos, letters, news clippings — anything you want to share that relates your and your family’s time in the community. Light refreshments will be served, and everyone who shares their memories will receive a free copy of the book “City Streets,” generously donated by the author and former West Ender Frank DelVecchio.
We don’t know when, or if, we’ll ever have the opportunity to do this again. So, please mark your calendars now and plan to join us to share the gift of your memories for generations to come.
If you or your relatives can’t attend, but still want to contribute, we invite you to submit your own video or audio recording, or written account, by US mail or email by September 16. Please be sure to include your name (maiden name if applicable), email address and/or phone number, and the address(es) at which you lived in the Old West End. The more detail you can provide about your experiences, the better. Our mailing address is The West End Museum, 150 Staniford St. Suite 7, Boston, MA 02114 and our email address is thewestendmuseum@gmail.com
If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at 617-723-2125 Tuesday through Friday between noon and 5 p.m.
We thank you in advance for sharing your life in the Old West End with the world and look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on September 16!
