Together at last! Holbrook, Milton elders share West End memories

Lucille Azanow, who turns 88 on Dec. 23, of Holbrook paid a visit Monday Dec. 14, 2015 to 96-year-old Edith Rothman in Milton. A Patriot Ledger article last year brought them together.

The two grew up in Boston’s West End before it was destroyed by urban renewal in the late 1950s and they had a wonderful time sharing memories. Edith was very young when she moved out of the West End; Lucille was older when she lived there and was able to confirm or fill in some of Edith’s memories.
