Boston's Big Dig history highlighted in new exhibit with one-of-a-kind artifacts
Boston’s Big Dig Project is famously known as one of the nation’s most expensive and most expansive highway projects.
Now, the historic infrastructure is getting a fresh take in the West End Museum in a new exhibit co-curated by a former spokesperson for the project.
David Kruh calls the Big Dig a “fixing” of a longstanding infrastructure problem in Boston; namely, the infamous elevated Central Artery.
“Which, even on its best day, was a horrible experience to drive through,” Kruh said.
