The West End Museum Launches a gofundme Campaign
Boston, MA – On April 1 The West End Museum launched a gofundme campaign to assist in raising funds while we are closed for the COVID-19 epidemic. This closure has presented new challenges for our community, but it has also provided exciting opportunities.
During the shutdown we are working on plans to renovate the museum space, update our online presence, develop a library of biographies about historic Wet Enders (currently being shared in our West End History Spotlights) and significant places around the neighborhood, and to reopen stronger than ever before. We’ve enjoyed bringing you digital content (and will continue to do so), including interviews, images, and emails, as well as hearing from so many of you with thanks and questions. We were particularly honored to be able to help a community member locate a map of the street his grandparents grew up on!
As we continue this work, we hope you will consider contributing to the museum. You can do that through our gofundme campaign (or via the donations portal on our website) or by joining us as a member. We greatly appreciate any support you can provide, and encourage you to reach out with any questions you might have about the museum, the West End, or any of the work we do.
